I need a plan. Can you help?

Good planning is a dynamic, ongoing process that evolves with you. It not only guides the management of your investment portfolio, but also integrates and coordinates all aspects of your financial life. Think of your plan as your own personal roadmap. Where do you want to go?

I help my clients answer questions such as:

  • Does my portfolio strategy make sense for me?

  • When can I retire?

  • How do I construct a sustainable, long-term income plan?

  • How can I design the most tax-efficient investment portfolio?

  • If I live to be 100 years old, will I run out of money?

  • If I get hit by a bus tomorrow will my family be ok?

  • What is the best way to pass assets on to the next generation?

  • How do I plan for goals such as charitable giving or a second home?

  • How do I pay for my children or grandchildren’s college education?

  • How do I better understand the fees and expenses that I pay?

Are you a fiduciary?

Yes, absolutely. I wouldn’t have it any other way. As a Registered Investment Advisor, I'm held to a fiduciary standard to place my clients’ interests before my own. Brokers, insurance agents and banks are not held to this standard. I do not push products or receive incentives. Therefore, I can advise you on the best solutions available.

Do you have a typical client?

While I do not have a minimum, my typical client is retired, or nearing retirement with at least $1,000,000 of investment assets.

What is your investment philosophy?

Client portfolios are individually managed and customized to your unique needs. I believe that the following factors are essential to long-term success:

  • A simple, common-sense approach

  • Tuning out the noise

  • Staying focused

How are you compensated?

I do not push products or receive incentives, so I can always act with your best interests in mind. Our relationship is “at will”, meaning either of us can terminate at any time. You continue to work with me as long as you feel my services are of value to you. Each client is unique, so fees must be determined by each situation. We will agree on a fair fee, which will be reflected in our agreement.

Does your firm use an independent, third-party custodian to hold my account assets?

Benchmark Financial has selected Charles Schwab & Co., Inc. as primary custodian for our clients’ accounts. Charles Schwab & Co., Inc. (“Schwab”) has more than 30 years of experience serving independent advisors. Schwab was a pioneer in recognizing and serving the needs of independent, fee-based investment advisors and their clients.

How do we get started?

We start off with a simple conversation to see if we have a good fit. Next, we meet for a discussion about where you are, where you want to go, and agree on the best path forward. I will explain in plain English exactly what you need to do to achieve your financial goals.
